Hello ASCP pathologists in training,
Have you considered serving on an ASCP council? Now is the time to submit your application.
I am Savanah, the current Chair of the ASCP Resident Council. I am reaching out to share that we are currently accepting applications for service on the Council for the next term, which begins in November 2025.
The Council is the voice of the Society's pathology residents and fellows. We provide advice and recommendations to the ASCP Board of Directors through the Commission on Membership on ways in which the Society may best meet our professional and educational needs.

Submit your application by March 31, 2025 at https://www.ascp.org/apps/services/volunteer
There are many other opportunities to volunteer within ASCP, so explore those options as well. A great way to get started with volunteering is by becoming an ASCP Ambassador and building awareness about pathology in your community.
I have truly enjoyed serving on this council -- it has allowed me to network with experienced pathologists and is very fulfilling in that I (along with my fellow council members) have been able to amplify the voices of pathology residents and fellows across the country (and world).
Consider applying today! Also, please keep in mind that even if you plan on graduating residency within three years (and a member term is 3 years), you can still serve while you are a fellow).
