How about adequate reimbursement for laboratory testing?  without this, many of the other items are not possible.

Maintaining lab services in our local rural communities.  Advocacy for keeping lab services local and reducing the impact of large labs coming in and influencing the healthcare narrative through cost cutting.  Oftentimes the healthcare facility is the major employer in these communities.  Outsourcing services impacts the community as a whole, not just the bottom line.  There are providers that have reduced efficiencies due to the loss of local lab services.  Recruitment of new practitioners> young talent will be more difficult.

    Greetings,

These are excellent topics of discussion. I think a solution to help with the workforce shortage could be and something I've been working to develop here in NYC is having recruitment agencies partner with our college to connect them with our graduates for gainful employment in the clinical labs.

    Sincerely,
