As part of ASCP's ongoing efforts to share relevant updates from peer organizations with its members, the American Society of Cytopathology (ASC) Clinical Practice Committee is examining how its members are incorporating digital cytology into their workflows. Gaining insight into current practices has become especially important following a recent Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) memorandum limiting the use of digital cytology for remote review. This survey seeks to understand how ASC members are responding to these changes while also building on previous assessments of digital cytology and telecytology use. The findings will help define the current state of digital cytology and guide future advocacy efforts and the development of clinical guidelines.
