Hi everyone! I am exciting to share that I will be relocating to the Chicago area this fall and am actively looking for new opportunities within the clinical or translational genomics space.
Currently, I am a Research Associate at Weill Cornell Medicine, where my work focuses on how clinically relevant missense variants affect AAV gene therapy efficacy.
My ultimate career goal is to transition into direct clinical diagnostics. I recently went through the application cycle for the Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG) fellowship, which gave me invaluable insight into the field and helped me identify the precise areas I want to strengthen before applying again in the future-specifically, clinical laboratory workflows and cytogenetics.
To bridge this gap and prepare for this transition, I have recently:
-
Earned my MB(ASCP) certification in Molecular Biology.
-
Joined ClinGen as a volunteer curator, focusing on biallelic loss-of-function variants.
I am highly motivated to bring my background in NGS workflows, functional genomics, and variant interpretation to a clinical lab, diagnostic facility, or translational research group in Chicago.
If your team is hiring, or if you know of any roles that align with clinical laboratory workflows, assay development, or cytogenetics training, I would love to connect! Please feel free to reach out directly or share this post with your network.
Thank you!
