snHello,
My name is Bill Peyron Jr and I currently work as a Molecular Biologist at American Oncology Network in Fort Myers, Florida.
I am looking for any assistance on using the Invitrogen Qubit 4 Fluorometer for checking our RNA Integrity and Quality. Our Nanodrop Lite Spectrophotometer readings are in the range of 30-90 ng/ul and the 260/280 absorbance reading is above 2.00 showing a good quality of extracted RNA. When we tested 6 RNA specimens using the Qubit, we left the IQ reagents (stored at -20) and the RNA IQ standards 1,2 &3 (stored at -80) at room temperature for 30 minutes before testing. We did get RNA IQ readings on three out of our six specimens: 59.6 ng/ul, 260/280= 2.01; 71.5 ng/ul, 260/280=2.02 and 62.4 ng/ul, 260/280= 2.00. Three other specimens: 49.6 ng/ul, 260/280=2.00; 56.9 ng/ul, 260/280=2.01 and 52.4 ng/ul, 260/280=2.02 resulted in a measurement error.
Any assistance in using the Qubit would be greatly appreciated.
