    Hi!

    I am a senior tech (HTL) at a molecular company. I was wondering if anyone uses expression microdissection on FFPE samples for NGS testing. If you do, what are the challenges that you find and do you think they outweigh the benefit of specificity?

    Hi Everyone,

    Our HRC Rehabilitation - Laboratory has three criteria that reflex Urine Culture. We do all Urinalysis complete w/ Microscopy reflex to Urine Culture.

    Below are reflex urine culture criteria:
    1. Leukocytes: positive 
    2. Nitrite : positive 
    3. WBCs: >5/ hog

    Only bacteria positive it could  be superficial contamination that will show normal flora in urine culture report. 

    Any one of the above criteria present in urinalysis complete that will also shows few- many bacteria in urinalysis microscopy.
