ASCP is now accepting nominations for Choosing Wisely Champions!
Choosing Wisely Champions is a program to recognize pathologists, laboratory professionals, clinical colleagues and teams for their commitment and dedication to innovation in laboratory stewardship and effective test utilization best practices (formerly Choosing Wisely).
When nominating a Champion, some areas to consider include individuals or teams that have:
• Advanced effective test utilization in their practice
• Played a major role in development of recommendations
• Helped educate Society members about effective test utilization and/or recommendations
• Conducted measurement/implementation of recommendations
• Validated research highlighting the importance of recommendations
• Demonstrated leadership of a localized Choosing Wisely effort
• Served as a spokesperson for the Society or campaign
Please consider nominating a worthy colleague/group/yourself for recognition as a Choosing Wisely Champion using the following guidelines by May 19th, 2024 to Liz Waibel, Senior Director, Quality Initiatives and Health Policy at liz.waibel@ascp.org.
