    Let's get together

    We're hosting a new event and we'd love to see you there.

    The ASCP West Virginia Chapter Board (formerly West Virginia Chapter of CLMA) would like to invite you to our 2023 Annual Fall Chapter Meeting and Conference on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Stonewall Resort.

    Six 1-hour educational sessions covering various laboratory topics will be offered starting at 8:30 am.  Topics and speakers will be provided in the coming weeks.  ASCP CMLE credit will be available for attendees after each session.

    The Annual Meeting of Chapter Members will follow lunch at 12:30 pm.  All chapter members are invited to attend and participate!

    Refreshments and buffet lunch are included with registration.

    Vendors will be available for networking and learning about the latest offerings in the clinical laboratory sector.

    Take advantage of the best registration price available by registering under the Early Bird tickets as an ASCP West Virginia Chapter Member or  Student  before 9/15/2023 ($25).

    If you are not a current ASCP or West Virginia chapter member, you may select the Non-Member  ticket  ($50 Early Bird price) for this event.  There is no better time to join! Make sure to visit ASCP.org and include the West Virginia Chapter membership as part of your new membership or renewal.  You may also contact ASCP at (800) 267-2727 to add chapter membership.

    Note:  ASCP Membership is separate from and not included with ASCP Certification.

    Greetings ASCP WV Chapter Members,

     

    My name is Della Haynes. I am currently on the ASCP WV Chapter Board as the Immediate Past President.

     

    The WV Chapter is recruiting new officers to join the board and I would like to hear from you if you are interested. This is an outstanding way to serve and lead the laboratory community locally. We hold most board meetings virtually so required travel for Board Members is minimal.

     

    We are filling the following positions:

     

    • President Elect
    • Director
    • Secretary

     

    Please reach out to me via email at della.haynes@vandaliahealth.org by September 12, 2023 if you are interested in becoming a chapter leader and serving on the board or if you have any questions on the responsibilities of each position. Each nominee must be an ASCP WV Chapter Member or be able to become a member.

     

    The ballot with all nominees for each position will be sent out to the Chapter Members to allow voting for your next Board Members.

     

     

     

    We also hope to see everyone at the Annual Fall Meeting at Stonewall Resort on October 17, 2023. Click on the REGISTER link below if you would like to attend the Conference and earn 6 hours of continuing education, network with fellow Laboratorians, and visit with many Laboratory Vendors. Lunch and refreshments are included.

    FYI - for those staying the evening prior to the conference, both the restaurant (Stillwaters) and the bar (TJ Muskies) at the resort will be open. Room service will be available as well.

    Hello everyone!

    I wanted to give a big THANK YOU to all who attended and made this what seems to have been a VERY SUCCESSFUL conference and meeting.  I think it was great to be back together, in person, and with both familiar and new faces attending.

    I really want to show my appreciation and gratitude to our Chapter Board of Directors.  This could not have been done without dedication of their time and expertise.  Each member did their part to contribute and make this a successful event.

    I also want to thank our vendors for attending.  Without their support, we could not have put on this event at this venue.

    The staff at Stonewall Resort have our thanks as well for being such great hosts.  Looking forward to working with them again in the future.

    Attached are the slides from each of our presenters.  They deserve a huge thanks for their time and efforts to contribute to our knowledge at this event.

    Can't wait until our next outing.  We welcome any and all suggestions to improve future offerings.
